Terms of Service

Last updated: March 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Proven Cite (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

The Service is operated by Proven Cite ("we," "our," or "us"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

Proven Cite is an AI visibility and citation readiness platform that analyzes publicly available web content across 13 factors to assess how effectively large language models (LLMs) can process, evaluate, and cite that content. The Service provides:

  • Content analysis using a rules-based 13 factor AI Readability Index
  • AI visibility and citation readiness scoring
  • Competitor analysis and comparison
  • Prompt intelligence and market insights
  • Actionable recommendations for content improvement
  • Executive reporting and score tracking

3. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating a workspace
  • Only submit URLs and domains that you own, manage, or have authorization to analyze
  • Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Not use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service

4. Content and Analysis

The Service analyzes publicly available web content. Scores, recommendations, and insights are generated by our rules-based analysis engine and are provided for informational purposes. While our analysis is based on documented LLM behaviors and academic research, we do not guarantee specific outcomes with any particular AI system.

The AI Readability Index scores represent our assessment of content quality factors relevant to LLM processing. They should be used as guidance for content improvement, not as definitive predictions of AI citation behavior.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the 13 factor AI Readability Index methodology, scoring algorithms, user interface, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Proven Cite and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to the content you submit for analysis. By submitting content for analysis, you grant us a limited license to fetch, process, and analyze that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain the Service's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice. We will not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Proven Cite shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Actions or decisions made based on scores or recommendations

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at any particular time or location.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
